Can a company dismiss me if I turn down an internal offer to a new location? What is the best thing to do?Best advice?
they can't say ';hey you're fired cuz you wont move'; but they surely can make things 'uncomfortable' or inconvienent for you and they will get you to resign
or they may find other reasons to fire you
ex: they NOW notice you are late often, taking extended lunches, not performing, etcBest advice?
You should always check out a new location before you move there because it could be the end of your career why are they moving you there? Is it failing and the other workers want to bail out or is the generally opportunities there for you.
An offer means you can accept of reject it.
On the other hand if the entire company is moving to Germany or something like that then you either move too or quit so you get what i mean its all about the circumstances.
