What is the best advice you experienced moms can give to a first timer?

My husband and I found out that we are having a boy, Reagen Henry Watts, due this August, do you like the name? What is the best advice you experienced moms can give to a first timer?
hi, love the name reagen! Congratulations for the pregnancy, almost there!! I had my daughter last august, and it is the most rewarding thing ever! I have a few tips from my experience, i hope they help!! :)

do not let bub sleep in your bed, as it is amazing how young they catch onto these things and wont go back in thier bed! If formula feeding, make a bottle or two in advance, sleep when they sleep at the start, it really helps. Get dad to help where possible, great for him and baby! PLEASE%26lt; take lots of pictures, its amazing to look back on how small they were, we have kept ahlias little size 00000 suit she first wore home, i would never part with it!!

hope this helps, and good luck!!What is the best advice you experienced moms can give to a first timer?
Yes, I really really like the name you have picked!

For advice, as a breastfeeding advocate, please don't give up so easily. So many moms don't try hard enough to breastfeed, don't look for support, and don't take the advice they are offered. Then, they stop nursing and claim they ';couldn't'; breastfeed. This is just not true. 99.9 % of woman are able to breastfeed....they just choose not to, or don't have the right information or the support.
The best advice i can give is to love him with all of your heart. You can never love a baby too much. Great name!
I think you should change it to Henry Reagan Watts, but thats just me
I like the name, my best advice is to listen to your instincts and follow your gut when it comes to your child, don't forget you can never spoil a newborn.
im pregnant with my 5th child i have 2 girls and 2 boyz im not going to find out .but that is such a nice name
I think that sounds more like a girl's first name...as for advice,

I have four children...and all I can say is you must have patients, and never forget you are the parent....that last part will make sense when your little one is about 12 yrs old, maybe sooner. Good Luck!!!! I'm sure you have already been told this but from the moment that child is here neither of your lives will ever be the same. Never!( but, that's a good thing...I think.)
Nice name. Best advice.... be consistent in whatever you do. Give your child love constantly.
I really like the name.

However just remember anything you would like with your sons name on it will have to be custom made as Reagen is not common.

My advice? and this is from my personal experience - check out your local hospitals and find out which have the best NICU (neonatal ICU) just in case you go into labor early and have a preemie. My water broke 3.5 months early at 5:30 in the AM and I found out that neither of the hospitals my OBGYN had priviledges would take me that early so while I was in a panic at 6am I had to decide from various choices which hospital I wanted to go to. All turned out well, I just wish I had thought about it before that moment.

(oh and get as much sleep as possible now :) )
have a LOT of PATIENCE....
I'm a first timer too and I'm also due in August. Sorry I can't give any advice but I'm in the same boat as you. :) Reagen Henry sounds oldfashioned but I like oldfashioned names.
Nice name! I like it!

My advice is not to listen to people if they tell you you hold your baby too much and you are going to spoil it! Hold it all you want even if the baby is sleeping! Snuggle and kiss as much as you can! They grow so quickly and you will be sad if you sit back and think I wish I held Reagen more....

Read the book sleep solutions for your baby toddler and preschooler by Ann Douglas BEFORE you have your baby! It will help you get the most you sleep possible!

expect people to say uncalled for things to you, because they do.... your baby must be hot..cold...hungry tired.....your feeding him too much...too little....don't bathe him so often and on and on and on block them out you know your baby better than anyone.

if you want to breastfeed you may not be able to, and your not a failure because of that. (when your that hormonal things can play with your emotions.) have back up formula.

Gerber Grins and Giggles - Sweet pea body wash is the best baby smell in the world.

No matter what you do it wont be good enough for some people, so don't let that bother you, the only thing that matters is you know what is best for your baby and if you are doing what you know is best you will be an amazing mommy!

Congrats on the baby and best of luck!
that sounds kind of old
