Well, I'm trying to shift a bit of unwanted weight around the stomach, and needs some motivational tips to keep my hands off junk food like chocolate, sweets, crisps etc...
Ta.What's the best advice you can give to help keep off ';snacking'; and eating unhealthily?
Just think, for the few seconds the food is in your mouth %26amp; you're enjoying it, that food will soon be fat around your stomach and anywhere else you tend to put on weight.
Is having that extra chocolate really worth taking a step back for? What's the best advice you can give to help keep off ';snacking'; and eating unhealthily?
1. Get rid of ALL the junk in your house... easy access is the worst temptation.
2. Replace the 'bad' stuff with their healthy alternatives, so stock up on sugar-free jello instead of candies, frozen diet soda instead of ice-blocks, salsa %26amp; baked pita bread instead of chips, sweet potato %26amp; vanilla esscence instead of pudding, etc. Be creative.
3. Try to focus on your thoughts. Find 'mantras' that work for you... mine for example, is reminding myself that I CAN have it if I WANT to, but it's ME that's chosing not to eat it. I also remind myself that the shops will always have it later, so I'll just eat it when I'm skinny.
At least you are on the right track, you know that the small snacks are the ones that mess with your dietary plans.
Most people do not lose weight even when on diet because they don't take into account snacks and soft drinks.
My suggestion is make three good meals a day (so you don't feel hungry right after you finished) and avoid all snacks.
Anytime you feeI hungry during the day find something else to do: talk to someone, listen to music, read a book, workout etc.
Stop the junk food and snack on raw veggies. Celery, radishes, carrots and lettuce and be pretty good and they have no calories.
Stop Putting Your Hand To Your Mouth ..!
